A Personal Understanding of Grief

01 / A personal understanding
Every journey through grief is different
In December 2018, after twenty-one years of marriage and two wonderful children, I experienced the devastating loss of my husband. He was just 52 years old.
Nothing can truly prepare you for losing someone you love, and I know first-hand how overwhelming those first few days and weeks can be.
There can be so many emotions to navigate — shock, disbelief, sadness, despair, loneliness and uncertainty. Grief is deeply personal, and I believe there is no right or wrong way to grieve. Every person is different, every relationship is unique, and every journey through grief is their own.
02 / Support when you need it
Understanding What Comes Next

Having experienced the loss of someone so close to me, I also understand the practical challenges that follow a death. From registering the death and meeting with funeral directors, to making decisions about flowers, cremation or burial, music, readings and a wake, there can suddenly be so much to think about at a time when you may feel least able to make decisions.
This personal experience has given me a genuine understanding of what families are going through.
As your celebrant, I will be there to listen, support and guide you through the process, always taking the time to understand what matters most to you and your family.
03 / Remembering their life
A meaningful and personal goodbye
I feel truly honoured to be able to listen to your stories, memories and wishes and create a ceremony that truly reflects the person you loved — their personality, their life, the things that made them special and the memories you will treasure forever.
Above all, I will ensure that your loved one's farewell is filled with love, dignity, respect and heartfelt memories — a meaningful and personal goodbye that honours their life and celebrates the person they were.
